Interior / Exterior Maintenance Worker A - UH Truman Medical Center (Mon - Fri 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM)

Full-time.

Work schedule:

7:00 AM – 3:30 PM. Hours per week: 40.

• Tackle basic maintenance tasks and keep equipment in working order.
• Assist with building repairs and general upkeep.
• Operate tools and machinery—from mowers and snowblowers to weed eaters and hedge trimmers.
• Keep outdoor areas neat, clean, and safe.
• Coordinate with external lawn and snow services when needed.
• Maintain safety as a priority for yourself and the team.
• Communicate with staff and contractors to get things done right.

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of hands-on experience in grounds maintenance and equipment repair.
• Know-how with lawn care tools and machines.
• Valid driver’s license (if you’ll be driving) and a clean record per our Fleet Safety Policy.
• Solid understanding of safety practices.
• Good communication skills to work with vendors and staff.
• Physical coordination, good vision, and awareness around plants, fuel, and machinery.

You’ll work independently most of the time but also be a team player, helping the maintenance crew and occasionally guiding outside vendors who help with lawn care, snow removal, and trash services. If you like variety, fresh air, and a hands-on role, this position may be for you.
