Senior Associate Attorney - Medical Malpractice

Overview

A well-established and highly respected litigation firm in Kansas City is seeking a Senior Associate Attorney to join its medical malpractice defense practice. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced litigator to handle complex matters, work closely with experienced trial attorneys, and play a meaningful role in case strategy and client development.

• Manage medical malpractice and healthcare-related litigation matters from inception through resolution
• Take and defend depositions, handle hearings, and participate in trial preparation and trial
• Draft and argue motions and manage discovery strategy
• Work directly with healthcare providers, insurers, and expert witnesses
• Mentor junior attorneys and collaborate within a team-oriented litigation practice

• 5+ years of litigation experience, with medical malpractice or healthcare litigation strongly preferred
• Active Missouri license required;
  Kansas licensure is a plus
• Strong deposition, motion practice, and case management skills
• Excellent legal writing and advocacy abilities
• Trial experience or substantial trial preparation experience preferred
• Ability to manage cases independently while contributing to team strategy
