Litigation Paralegal

A large, well-respected defense law firm in Kansas City is seeking an experienced Defense Litigation Paralegal to join its team. This immediate opening offers hands‑on involvement in complex litigation matters. The ideal candidate has case management and Relativity experience.

• Manage complex cases through all phases of litigation
• Assist with fact and witness investigations, including background checks
• Draft, propound, and respond to discovery; manage document production
• Review and summarize medical records, medical bills, police reports, deposition transcripts, and other case documents
• Analyze large case files and prepare detailed chronologies and case summaries
• Assist with juror research
• Support preparation for depositions, hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trial
• Assist with trial preparation and attend trial as needed
• Communicate professionally with clients, attorneys, and firm staff
• Learn and utilize litigation and firm technology efficiently

• Prior litigation paralegal experience (defense experience preferred)
• Strong understanding of civil litigation and discovery
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills
• Ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Comfortable working with litigation technology and document management systems
