Our client—an internationally recognized, top‑tier labor & employment law firm—is seeking an experienced Attorney Practice Coordinator to join their Kansas City office. About the RoleAs an Attorney Practice Coordinator, you will play a key role in supporting multiple attorneys with litigation and case management tasks. You’ll coordinate work across internal legal support teams, manage filings, prepare TOCs/TOAs, verify deadlines, and ensure accurate, timely execution of all case-related documents.
This is a great fit for someone who is highly organized, proactive, and comfortable operating within a large, structured law firm environment.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate attorney support with internal resource teams, billing, and administrative departments
- Prepare and submit clear task instructions and documentation for case support needs
- Prevent duplicate task submissions and maintain synchronization across case teams
- Verify and track litigation deadlines; alert attorneys accordingly
- Create/update matters in Virtual Binder
- Prepare Tables of Contents (TOCs) and Tables of Authorities (TOAs) using Best Authority
- Finalize and e‑file documents with courts and agencies per applicable rules
- File documents in Net Documents accurately and on time
- Submit New Client Matter (NCM) requests per firm standards
- Coordinate transcription, printing, and document assembly with office services
- Maintain attorney contact lists in Outlook and CRM systems
- Submit daily task logs and assist with pre‑bill review when needed
- 5+ years of legal administrative experience (required)
- Experience supporting litigation attorneys, ideally in labor & employment law
- Background in a mid‑to‑large defense law firm (required)
- Advanced proficiency with Best Authority (TOCs/TOAs)
- Strong knowledge of court rules and electronic filing procedures
- Proficiency in MS Office, Outlook, Adobe
- Experience with Net Documents and Big Hand Create
- Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred
- Excellent communication, time management, and multitasking abilities
- Compensation: $86-106k base + annual bonus
