A well-established litigation-focused law firm is seeking an experienced Insurance Coverage / Bad Faith Litigation Attorney to join its Kansas City office
. This position offers the opportunity to handle complex insurance coverage and bad faith litigation matters in a collaborative, professional environment.

• 5+ years of experience in insurance coverage and bad faith litigation defense
• Active Missouri and Kansas law licenses (required)
• Ability to manage cases independently and as part of a litigation team
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
• Experience reviewing and analyzing insurance policies and coverage issues
• Experience preparing insurance coverage opinions ideal

• Manage files through all phases of litigation
• Conduct fact investigations and legal research
• Prepare witnesses for depositions
• Take and defend depositions
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents
• Review and analyze insurance policies, contracts, and related materials
• Prepare detailed insurance coverage and bad faith opinions
• Prepare for and attend court hearings
• Assist with trial preparation and attend trial as needed
