We are seeking an Artificial Intelligence Intern to join our Data Science team. This role will focus on researching, prototyping, and developing internal AI tools that leverage modern large language models (LLMs). The intern will help explore new AI capabilities, build early-stage prototypes, and contribute ideas that may evolve into production-ready solutions used across the company.

  • Support the Data Science team in researching and evaluating modern AI technologies and tools
  • Assist in building internal AI tools using large language models (LLMs)
  • Develop and test prompt engineering techniques to improve AI tool performance
  • Contribute to prototyping AI solutions that can evolve into production systems
  • Assist in evaluating model outputs and improving accuracy and reliability
  • Conduct research on emerging AI technologies and identify potential business applications
  • Collaborate with team members to brainstorm and implement AI-driven solutions
  • Assist in documenting tools, experiments, and project findings
  • Communicate ideas, progress, and results with the team
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field
  • Familiarity with AI tools such as ChatGPT or other large language model platforms
  • Interest in prompt engineering, AI experimentation, and applied machine learning
  • Experience with Python is preferred; SQL experience is a plus but not required
  • Passion for applying LLMs thoughtfully and responsibly; the intern should be willing to study research on the limitations of LLMs and when they should not be employed
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Self-driven, curious, and eager to learn new technologies
  • Passion for creating value through innovative technology solutions
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work well both independently and in a collaborative team environment
  • Ability to organize work and manage time effectively to meet deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and a proactive work ethic
  • Legally able to work in the United States
