Position:
Due to our continued growth, we are now seeking a detail oriented person for an immediate opening as a Skip Tracer at our Corporate office in Kansas City, MO. This position is office-based with no field work.
The specialist will locate customers and vehicles subject to repossession nationwide. The ideal candidate will gather, analyze, or evaluate information from a variety of sources, such as location databases and software, to locate vehicles. An investigative mindset and an analytical approach are valuable. Experience helps, but we welcome applicants regardless of background. If you love computers or researching information, this is the job for you.
The schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM.
This position starts at $19–$20 per hour, depending on experience, plus paid time off, benefits, and 401(k) eligibility.
ResponsibilitiesNote: The following responsibilities are aligned with the duties described in the job overview.
- Conduct research to locate customers and vehicles subject to repossession
- Gather and analyze information from databases and software
- Coordinate with internal teams to support locating efforts
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of search activity
- Uphold company policies and regulatory requirements in all tasks
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- Detail oriented
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent deductive reasoning and critical thinking skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Effective time management skills
- 35 accurate WPM
- Strong computer and internet skills
- Ability to adapt to fluctuating workflow
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Ability to sit for long periods and walk/stand regularly
- Ability to lift 1–15 pounds and perform physical tasks (e.g., stooping, bending, kneeling)
