In Kansas City, the Honeywell Federal Manufacturing & Technologies (FM&T) team manages the U.S. Department of Energy/National Nuclear Security Administration’s Kansas City National Security Campus. This state‑of‑the‑art facility produces intricate components for national‑security products and services.

The Senior SAP Application Development Analyst serves as a subject‑matter expert, providing leadership in application design, development, enhancement, maintenance, and complex technical support—primarily focused on the SAP S/4

HANA platform.

• Work directly with business customers and technical teams on highly complex, assigned projects.
• Lead the analysis, design, development, and testing of business solutions, ensuring quality and performance standards are met.
• Analyze, design, and implement well‑documented solutions for assigned features, often involving cross‑module integration.
• Collaborate with technical teams to improve product functionality and provide architectural input.
• Mentor junior development staff and actively lead code reviews and quality assurance activities.
• Stay up‑to‑date with application roadmaps, relevant technology, and industry best practices.
• Identify and resolve application security vulnerabilities.
• Apply application patches and/or collaborate with other teams to ensure the application stack is patched against known vulnerabilities.
• Support SAP S/4
  
  HANA applications within a private cloud environment (NS2) and provide senior‑level guidance.

• Five or more years of direct work experience.
• Bachelor’s degree, or certification plus two additional years of direct work experience in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree.
• Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
• Ability to work remote, hybrid, or on‑site as directed by management and as required by business needs.
• Regular and reliable attendance is essential.
• United States citizenship.
• Ability to obtain and maintain, if required, a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) security clearance (some positions may require additional DOE designations).

• Deep hands‑on experience in development and applications: SQL, Python, HTML, Java.
• Knowledge of manufacturing, equipment, and U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) operations.
• Demonstrated initiative to maintain technical currency through outside studies and training.
• Professional experience related to:
  • SAP S/4
    
    HANA implementation, development, or support, including exposure to core modules (FI, MM, SD, PP, CO).
  • Systems Analysis and Design methodologies for enterprise systems.
  • Leading ERP implementation or simulation projects.
• Professional experience or advanced coursework with:
  • ABAP development (classic/ABAP on HANA)
  • BTP Integration Suite
  • OData services (for Fiori/UI5 integration)
  • SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)
