About Alden

Alden builds advanced diagnostic platforms that bring laboratory precision to the point of need. Our technology redefines how the world tests, combining hardware, software, and science into a single system. Alden empowers users to make faster, more confident decisions that protect public health.

Role Overview

Alden is seeking a Program Manager, a cross-organizational leader who brings structure, speed, and accountability to complex, multi-disciplinary programs. You will own the delivery rhythm that connects Alden's core divisions:
Science, Engineering, Software, Operations, Regulatory/Quality, and Strategic Partnerships.

Your mission: translate strategy into execution through sprint-based cycles, transparent reporting, and a culture of predictable delivery. This role blends precision and agility, purpose-built for a company that ships both science and hardware in a regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities Project Planning and Organization
  • Partner with division leaders to define project scopes, deliverables, and task lists, ensuring no workstream or dependency is missed.
  • Build and maintain project boards that reflect accurate tasks, owners, and deadlines.
  • Establish and maintain milestone schedules for active projects across all divisions.
Progress Management
  • Run planning sessions, weekly check-ins, and progress reviews with each division.
  • Track task completion, blockers, and dependencies; ensure work is advancing toward deadlines.
  • Document team sentiment on progress, risks, and resource needs; surface concerns early.
  • Maintain summaries and progress visuals for leadership review.
Coordination and Communication
  • Serve as the day-to-day project coordinator across Science, Hardware, Software, Operations, and Commercial.
  • Facilitate communication between teams to ensure alignment and resolve task conflicts or overlaps.
  • Keep meeting notes, decisions, and next steps clearly documented and circulated after each session.
Reporting and Tracking
  • Generate weekly division reports summarizing what's complete, what's in progress, and what's at risk.
  • Prepare executive summaries highlighting milestones, delays, and key decisions needed.
  • Maintain high-quality project data to ensure dashboards and reports stay current.
Continuous Improvement
  • Refine project workflows and templates for consistency across teams.
  • Identify process bottlenecks and propose solutions to improve visibility and execution speed.
  • Help teams adopt repeatable sprint rhythms and structured updates

without adding unnecessary overhead.

What Success Looks Like
  • All projects and tasks across Alden divisions are clearly mapped, owned, and updated weekly.
  • Progress is visible and consistent; leadership has no surprises on status.
  • Division leads feel supported with structure, clarity, and accountability.
  • Deliverables are completed on time, with risks surfaced early and mitigated quickly.
Qualifications
  • 4+ years of project or program management experience, preferably in technology environments.
  • Proven ability to organize complex projects across multiple functions.
  • Skilled in sprint and milestone planning, task tracking, and stakeholder updates.
  • Exceptional clarity in written and verbal communication.
  • Strong command of project management tools.
  • Exposure to regulated or quality-controlled environments (AOAC, ISO, FDA).
Reporting Structure

Start by reporting to CEO, with a transition to reporting to the COO.
