The Data Architect/ ETL will provide technical architecture in the development, installation, and/or maintenance of data structures (data warehouses, databases, ETL, and data marts), along with applications to solve business problems.

Major Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on application design and development of data structures and applications to solve business problems.
• Work with other stakeholders to design, develop, install, and maintain data structures and applications to solve business problems.
• Consult with IT team members (including management) and lead the decision-making process in the appropriate use of technology.
• Advise management of the impact that business decisions will have on the applications development environment.
• Lead medium-large inter-team and inter-department projects.
• Stay current about trends and technologies impacting applications development and project management.
• Assist in establishing standards and guidelines for the design & development, tuning, deployment and maintenance of data and application solutions.

Specific Responsibilities

• Develop and ultimately possess expert knowledge of the Distribution Technologies, including: enterprise data warehouse, systems processes and the supporting applications used in those processes.
• Provides technology, tool, architecture, and business continuity leadership for the team.
• Provides primary Priority Problem leadership and resolution for the team.
• Manages detailed tasks, projects, and priorities for the team including load-planning.
• Provides primary liaison and leadership role with business partners, such as:
  Salesforce Support, Data Mining, Brokerage, Mailings, and others as needed.

Required Experience

• Three or more years of experience with leading successful Data Quality, Data Warehousing, and Data Mart implementations, including experience designing and modeling Enterprise Data Warehouse.
• Bachelor’s degree in information systems or computer science or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• Eight to ten years IT experience with progressive responsibilities in designing technology solutions and leading technology initiatives.
• Knowledge of formal applications development methodologies.
• Knowledge of formal project management methodologies.
• Proficiency in the clear expression of ideas both verbally and in writing.
