Who We Are Looking ForWe are looking for an HR Generalist to serve as a trusted advisor, supporting employees across the Americas region. They will provide support across onboarding, benefits, compliance, employee relations and employee engagement. Our preferred candidate will have prior experience within the AEC industry (Architectural, Engineering, Construction) or another professional services environment.
What Your Day Could Consist Of- Lead and facilitate new hire onboarding and orientation.
- Support employee engagement initiatives, recognition programs, and milestone celebrations (anniversaries, service awards, events).
- Provide guidance to employees regarding HR policies, procedures and programs, escalating matters as appropriate.
- Accurately update and maintain employee information in HR systems.
- Plan and coordinate HR-sponsored programs such as health fair, wellness initiatives, learning sessions, and employee events across Populous’ Americas offices.
- Assist Senior HR Manager with merit increases, bonuses, merit statements, benefits administration, etc.
- Serve as cross‑trained backup for payroll processing.
- Support employee exit process, including communications, documentation, system updates, final pay, benefits and required notices.
- Duties may evolve based on organizational needs and priorities.
- Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive information with the highest level of confidentiality.
- Proactive, self‑directed, and adaptable to changing priorities.
- Strong interpersonal and customer‑service orientation.
- Excellent organizational, communication and collaboration skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- HCM and ADP knowledge and experience.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience.
- 3+ years of Human Resources experience.
- Prior experience within the AEC industry preferred.
