Position: GUEST ROOM ATTENDANT
What would I be doing?

Located just east of downtown Kansas City, Ameristar Casino Hotel Kansas City is a Midwestern entertainment hub offering a variety of amenities. Ameristar features one of the largest casino floors in Missouri, excellent dining options, a newly renovated luxury hotel, and more. It provides convenient parking in a five-level, 2,660-space parking structure with an enclosed, climate-controlled walkway to the casino and entertainment center.

Ameristar is seeking a Guest Room Attendant. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and condition of our beautifully appointed guest rooms. We are looking for candidates who love attention to detail and will provide first-class service to our hotel guests in an exciting 24/7 casino/hotel environment.

Responsibilities
  • Provide superior guest service, positively interacting with guests and team members, and handle all situations with energy and resilience in a 24/7 environment.
  • Clean hotel rooms, hallways, linen rooms, and storage areas in the hotel towers as directed.
  • Maintain and clean all equipment used during shifts, as directed.
  • Keep proper documentation of all duties performed during a shift, as directed.
  • Report safety hazards or maintenance issues for proper handling.
  • Follow all security measures.
  • Greet all guests courteously throughout the shift.
  • Assist guests with issues within your control, ensuring satisfaction while adhering to policies and guidelines.
  • Uphold room quality standards by delivering excellent service.
  • Assist the Houseperson with departmental projects as needed.
  • May help train new team members on job duties.
What are we looking for?


Required Knowledge and Skills

  • Ability to clean efficiently at an acceptable performance rate.
  • Must obtain and maintain all necessary licenses/certifications per Federal, State, and Gaming regulations, if required.
  • Skills typically acquired through two months of on-the-job training.


Required Natural Behaviors

  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
  • Proactively address guest inquiries and complaints.
  • Communicate effectively and work collaboratively with team members across all levels.
  • Be highly organized and detail-oriented.
  • Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.


Required Education and Work Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Six months of previous cleaning and/or hotel housekeeping experience preferred.
