The Supervisory Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist (DRT) of complex modalities in the Radiology service line at the Kansas City VA Medical Center, supervises Computed Tomography (CT) and Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) technical staff in those modalities.
DutiesThis vacancy is for the Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist (Supervisory) position. Incumbent serves as the chief technologist for the Kansas City VAMC Radiology Service responsible for planning and directing the radiologic technology program at active, affiliated medical centers and outpatient clinics, and has full supervisory responsibility for at least one subordinate supervisor at the next lower grade level, as well as oversight of a large staff of nonsupervisory personnel.
The Imaging Service line at the Kansas City VA Medical Center is staffed with approximately 55 technical personnel, 5 RN staff, and 10 administrative assistant personnel, as well as 10 Radiologist staff. The services are multi-faceted; encompassing varies areas such as, Diagnostic Radiology & fluoroscopy, CT Scan, Ultrasound, lnterventional Radiology, MRI, and Nuclear Medicine including PET.
