Medical Assistant
The Medical Assistant 2 supports physicians with hands-on patient care and provides front desk support such as scheduling, check-in, and patient communication. You’ll use both your clinical skills and your administrative strengths. This hybrid role is perfect for someone who enjoys variety and wants to be cross-trained in multiple areas of the office.
ScheduleMonday–Friday only (no nights, no weekends)
Medical Assistant 2 Essential Functions/Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned)- Welcome and room patients, take vitals, and prepare them for exams
- Assist providers with procedures, injections, wound care, and in-office treatments
- Apply DME/strappings, take X-rays, and support lab specimen processing
- Maintain clean, stocked exam rooms and sterilize instruments
- Answer phones, schedule appointments, and manage provider calendars
- Support patient check-in/out and provide excellent customer service
- Verify insurance, referrals, authorizations, and collect copays/balances
- Update EMR records and assist with orthotics tracking and billing follow-up
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Completion of a Medical Assistant program or 2+ years of clinical experience preferred
- CMA or RMA certification is a plus
- Strong communication, multitasking, and customer service skills
- Comfortable using EMR systems and basic insurance processes
- Tech-savvy and proficient in Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
