Overview
We are seeking a Medical Office Specialist to join a collaborative and patient-focused healthcare team. This role provides essential clerical and administrative support to ensure patients receive high-quality, efficient care. The ideal candidate is passionate about patient service, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and values teamwork and professionalism.
Responsibilities- Manage front and/or back office functions, including patient relations, check-in/check-out, appointment scheduling, insurance verification, and phone support
- Maintain, file, and retrieve medical records and patient information
- Collect and accurately record co-pays (cash and/or charge) and balance daily transactions in the system
- One year of experience in a medical office setting preferred
- Experience with an Electronic Health Record (EHR) system highly preferred
- eClinical
Works (ECW) experience strongly preferred - Proficiency in typing and navigating computer systems
- Medical records software
- Healthcare industry experience
- EHR / EMR systems
- Patient registration and scheduling
- Customer service and patient data management
Skills & Qualifications
- Energetic, dependable, and detail-oriented with strong multitasking abilities
- Self-starter who can work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to maintain a courteous and professional demeanor while working under pressure
- Experience with prior authorizations, procedure scheduling, or radiology/medication coordination is a plus
This is a Contract position based out of Kansas City, MO.
Pay And Benefits- The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $21.00/hr.
