Medical Office Specialist - Cardiac

Location and schedule: FT Day; M-F 8:00am-4:30pm;
Saint Luke's Cardiac Clinic, Kansas City, MO.

• Perform a variety of medical office duties, including answering the telephone, communicating messages through email or Epic, greeting, registering and scheduling patient appointments,

• Collect patient copayments, make appointment reminder calls, verify insurance and other patient data for accuracy, and scan and/or upload patient information to the patient's electronic chart.

• Provide backup for other positions and functions in the medical office, including medical records, scheduling, insurance verification, patient referrals, etc.

• Ability to float between multiple locations as assigned.

• Work to ensure patient confidentiality in all instances while maintaining a pleasant and professional appearance and conduct.
