This role is open to both Certified Medical Assistant and Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) candidates.
Medical Assistant What You'll Be Doing- Getting patients ready: prep charts, check vitals, and set the stage for great care.
- Hands‑on clinical work: administer medications, give immunizations, collect specimens, and assist with minor procedures such as wound care and suture removal.
- Maintain tech‑savvy record keeping: keep patient records up to date in the EMR system.
- Support providers and participate in team huddles to keep the clinic running smoothly.
- Patient education: help patients understand treatment plans, medications, and follow‑up care.
- High School Diploma or equivalent and graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, NRCMA, or CCMA) – required at time of hire and must be maintained.
- Current BLS certification or ability to obtain before starting.
- Knowledge of POCT, immunizations, and injections.
- Strong problem‑solving, organization, time‑management, and customer‑service skills.
- Tech‑savvy with Microsoft applications and EMR systems.
- Radiology certification if required for X‑ray functions.
- Provide compassionate nursing care under the supervision of a registered nurse in acute care, long‑term care, home health, and ambulatory settings.
- Perform patient assessments, collect data, and document care accurately.
- Administer medications and treatments, following all protocols.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to support patients.
- Adhere to the Missouri State Board of Nursing Practice Act and other standards of care.
- Accredited practical or vocational nursing program graduation.
- Current Missouri license as a practical nurse.
- Certified BCLS.
