Position: Sterile Processing Technician (Full Time) - No Weekends, Holidays, or On-Call

Location: 101 Truman Medical Center, University Health 1 (UH1), Kansas City, Missouri

Department: UH1 Sterile Processing UHTMC

Position Type: Full time

Work Schedule: 8:00AM - 4:30PM

Hours Per Week: 40

• You're the go-to expert for cleaning, decontaminating, and sterilizing surgical instruments — the MVP of clean!
• Prep and pack surgical case carts as needed in the OR, ensuring everything is ready when required.
• Handle the heavy lifting: receiving, storing, and distributing supplies and equipment.
• Maintain organization with data entry and inventory control.
• Be a team player who can jump into any area of SPD and make things happen.

• High school diploma or GED.
• One of the following:
• Central Service or Instrument Tech certification/program
• Surgical Tech program graduate
• 5+ years of hands-on instrument tech experience in the Operating Room
• Bonus if you’re currently at TMC — we value internal growth.
• Fluency with sterilizers: you know the equipment and the process inside-out.
• Comfort with computers and accurate data entry.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. solo.
• Friendly, helpful, and great with people — good vibes matter.

• 1 year of SPD experience is a gold star.
