Overview
Summary: Under the direction of the Department Director and the Occupational Therapy Supervisor, provides quality occupational therapy services to patients through evaluation and administration of treatment to restore function and prevent disabilities. This includes evaluating and treating patients in an acute care setting. Patients are adults; there is a NICU interest option for learning this area. The service mix includes orthopedic, trauma, neurological and general debility patients.
ScheduleWorking Monday-Friday, 9:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. Options with different days/hours may be considered (including 4 days per week), but coverage requires until 6:00 p.m. Minimum: 2 weekend days per month with a weekday off, and 1 holiday plus 1 holiday weekend (which counts as your weekend for that month).
ExperienceExperience clinically in acute care preferred. New graduates with acute care clinical experience are welcome to apply.
Special Skills- Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
- NBCOT (National Board for Certification of Occupational Therapy)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) from AHA (American Heart Association)
- OTR (Occupational Therapist)
