• Master’s degree from an accredited program in counseling, psychology, social work, family therapy or a closely related field.
• Staff with a master’s degree in social work are required to have a MO LMSW.
• Knowledge of psychiatric terminology and the process of psychiatric diagnosis.
• Must demonstrate knowledge of the theory and practice of mental health assessment and treatment and have basic research skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required, as is the ability to function as a member of a multi‑disciplinary team.
• Must have organizational and leadership skills.
• Must be able to demonstrate good independent judgment, adapt to new duties and work in a changing environment.
• If driving is a requirement for the employee, he/she must meet the requirements specified in the Fleet Driving Safety and Compliance Policy and must continue to meet these requirements as a condition of employment.
• Completion of training as directed through orientation and/or by Leadership, Management or Educators in the established timeline for continued employment.
