Radiologic Technologist I Overview

We are seeking a Radiologic Technologist I, internally referred to as our Radiology Tech I. The Rad Tech I will be conducting diagnostic X‑ray procedures, operating X‑ray equipment to capture images of patients' internal structures for diagnostic purposes. This role assists healthcare providers by producing high‑quality images that aid in diagnosing medical conditions and formulating treatment plans for our patients. This position is on a per diem basis (PD/PRN as needed).

Location: St Joseph Medical Center – Kansas City, MO

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):

• Ensure that X‑ray equipment functions properly and images meet quality standards, performing equipment checks, calibrations, and troubleshooting as needed.
• Interact with patients to explain procedures, address concerns, and ensure their comfort and safety during X‑ray examinations.
• Maintain accurate records of X‑ray procedures, including patient information, images, and relevant medical history.
• Stay updated on advancements in radiologic technology and participate in continuing education to maintain licensure and certification.
• Operate radiographic equipment to produce high‑quality images.
• Maintain your Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA) and maintain your registered status with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).

Deal‑breakers:

• Licensure as required by State.
• Appropriate national certifications in one modality.
• Current BLS (AHA).

Additional Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Proficient computer skills.
• Familiarity with State and Federal regulations.

Additional Qualifications That Are a Plus:

• One year of Acute Clinical Radiography.
