Overview
We are seeking a CT Technologist
, also known as a Radiologic Technologist II (Rad Tech). As a CT Technologist you will specialize and be responsible for operating CT scanners and X-ray machines to produce cross‑sectional images of patients’ internal organs and tissues. You will assist in diagnosing medical conditions and the treatment plan process by producing high‑quality images that help healthcare providers make informed decisions about patient care.

Shifts Available: Weekend Nights (Fri, Sat, Sun)
Hours: 12‑hour shifts – 6:00 pm to 6:30 am
Location: St. Joseph Medical Center – Kansas City, MO
Compensation: $56 base rate with competitive differential for nights

- Prepare patients and ensure proper positioning on the CT table; explain the procedure with empathy and address any concerns.
- Operate CT scanners and/or X‑ray machines to obtain images of targeted body parts, adjusting settings to optimize image quality while minimizing radiation exposure.
- Monitor patients to ensure comfort and safety throughout the procedure.
- Assist radiologists in interpreting images; administer contrast agents or perform certain procedures as needed.
- Accountable for quality assurance of CT scanners/X‑ray machines to ensure accurate images.
- Maintain radiologic supplies, ensure equipment is in good operating order, and follow infection control and hygiene protocols.
- Participate in Performance Improvement (PI) and Quality Control (QC) activities.
- Maintain Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) accreditation and active registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- Graduate of an ARRT‑accredited program.
- State‑required radiology license.
- Effective CT ARRT Certification as of 07/01/2015.
- Must maintain BCLS (AHA) upon hire.
- Knowledge of mobile and stationary radiographic/fluoroscopic equipment.
- Extensive knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology.
- Proficient computer skills.
- One year of acute, clinical radiology experience.
