Introduction: We are seeking a skilled Mammographer to join our team dedicated to providing exceptional healthcare services. As a Mammographer, you will play a crucial role in the early detection and diagnosis of breast diseases through the use of mammography technology. Your expertise will contribute directly to improving patient outcomes and ensuring high standards of care.
Key Responsibilities- Perform mammographic imaging procedures using specialized equipment to capture high-quality images of breast tissue.
- Ensure patient comfort and safety throughout the imaging process, providing clear instructions and answering questions as needed.
- Position patients accurately and use appropriate techniques to obtain the best images for diagnosis.
- Evaluate images to ensure technical quality, identifying any abnormalities or artifacts that may require additional images or consultation.
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to interpret images and communicate findings accurately.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation of procedures performed.
- Adhere to regulatory and safety standards, including proper handling of equipment and compliance with radiation safety protocols.
- Stay updated on advancements in mammography technology and techniques through continuing education and professional development.
- Certification in Mammography (ARRT-M, BD) preferred.
- An Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology or a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience as a Mammographer in a clinical setting, with proficiency in mammography equipment and procedures.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and pathology related to breast imaging.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients and healthcare team members.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in image analysis and documentation.
