SUMMARY: SUMMARY:
Under the direction of the Department Director and the Occupational Therapy Supervisor, provides quality occupational therapy services to patients through evaluation and administration of treatment to restore function and prevent disabilities.
An occupational therapist skilled in outpatient therapy needs for upper extremities, including orthopedic, neurological and oncologic clinical emphasis. The ideal candidate has worked in an outpatient setting or has had strong student clinical experience in an outpatient setting. They can expect to see patients with shoulder, elbow, wrist, basic hand injuries, related to injury or diagnosis such as stroke. They will work either 4-10 hr days (off day to be Wednesdays) or 5-8 hour days, with hours working until 5:30 p.m. with either schedule, Monday through Friday.
Will be cross trained to support acute needs for inpatient care to support holidays and holiday weekends as required for all clinical staff in our department. They will work at a satellite location (9401 North Oak Trafficway) with other OT and PT clinicians.
Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
License / CertificationRequired:
BLS (Basic Life Support) from AHA (American Heart Association), NBCOT (National Board for Certification of Occupational Therapy), OTR (Occupational Therapist)
