The Field Reimbursement Manager (FRM) serves as a subject‑matter expert on reimbursement, access and coverage issues affecting the company’s products. The FRM analyzes reimbursement and access challenges and acts as the local resource for field sales personnel and regional management. The FRM will:
- Analyze access and reimbursement issues and opportunities and educate office personnel on the patient journey for assigned product(s).
- Provide access and reimbursement education to field teams.
- Coordinate access and reimbursement matters with third parties, including HUB/Patient support services and specialty pharmacy for pharmacy benefit products.
- Educate HCPs on reimbursement processes, claim submissions, procedures and coding requirements of payer organizations (local payers, government payers, etc.).
- Provide information to HCPs on how products are covered under benefit design and educate them about key private and public payer coverage changes that impact product access for patients.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 5+ years’ pharmaceutical and/or biotech experience and at least 2 years’ experience in patient journey navigation, payer, reimbursement, medical billing & coding, specialty pharmacy & distribution, and patient support services engagement.
- In‑depth understanding of patient enrollment forms, prior authorization, appeals, peer‑to‑peer interventions, coding, coverage and payment across all sites of care.
- Must live within territory or within territory boundaries.
- Buy and bill product experience.
- Experience in rheumatology, dermatology, gastroenterology, neurology.
- Immunology experience with self‑injection specialty pharmacy products.
