Speech Language Pathologist IRF PRN at Research Medical Center.

• You will conduct a subjective assessment of a patient’s speech language abilities during spontaneous conversation. You will administer objective tests to assess patient’s communication assets and liabilities.
• You will structure and implement individualized patient programs to improve communication abilities.
• You will evaluate patients regularly during treatment and adjust programs as needed to maximize progress.
• You will document progress in patient charts, complete notes, charges, discharge notes and patient communications.
• You will consult with the Program Director and Rehab Physician/Medical Director regarding pre-screen assessments and physician consultations to determine appropriate placement of potential patients.

• Master’s degree in Speech – Language Pathology American Speech & Hearing Association
• Current Missouri State professional license or license eligible
• Current American Heart Association Basic Life Saving (BLS) certification
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or be eligible for clinical fellowship
• One year of work experience or clinical internship is required
• Prior one year of hospital/health care related experience is preferred
• Basic computer skills in word processing, internet
