Swope Health is seeking a compassionate and mission-driven Adult Therapist to support our Therapy team in providing the highest quality care for the people in our community who need it the most. Our Therapist are responsible for providing therapy services to adults 18 years of age or older, and their families. The Therapist performs psychosocial assessments to address behavioral and mental health symptoms.

Primary Functions:
- Perform intake assessments, 6‑month assessments, and annuals, which include completion of initial intake assessments, mental status assessments, medical assessments, and C‑Trac form.
- Complete chart documentation reviews covering Psychosocial History, Treatment Planning, Chart Progress Notes, Quarterly Reviews, and Discharge Summaries.
- Provide individual, family, and group counseling utilizing approved treatment approaches sanctioned by the Swope Behavioral Health Department.
- Accurately report billing documentation consistent with payer or contract requirements (e.g., Missouri Department of Mental Health, Missouri Department of Social Services, private insurance, Managed Care contract, Mental Health Levy).
- Meet expected productivity standards.
- Participate in Continuous Performance Improvement activities as required by the Corporation.
- Possess and demonstrate expertise in diagnostic formulation related to DSM‑5.
- Be available to assist in mental health crisis situations if needed.
- Complete Patient Safety Training curriculum.
Successful Candidate will have:
- Master's Degree in Psychology, Social Work, or Counseling and a license in the State of Missouri (LPC, LCSW, PLPC, or LMSW).
- At least two (2) years of counseling experience.
- Comfortable with providing telehealth services.
- Working knowledge of DSM‑5 and ability to assess mental health disorders.
- Proficiency in teletherapy platforms and technology.
