City Administrator

📍 Westwood, Kansas

The City of Westwood, KS is seeking an experienced, collaborative City Administrator to serve as the City’s chief administrative officer and strategic leader.

This role offers a rare opportunity to lead a small but highly engaged community with complex redevelopment, transportation, and regional partnerships—while working closely with an active Governing Body committed to data-driven and community-informed decision-making.

The City Administrator:

• Provides executive oversight of all City staff and all City contracts
• Serves as the City’s lead community development and planning official
• Acts as staff and Secretary to the Planning Commission
• Implements the Governing Body’s 2025–2027 Strategic Plan, shaped by a 2024 resident survey
• Represents Westwood in regional leadership roles, including with the Mid-America Regional Council (MARC) and other appointed boards and committees
• Oversees financial management, capital planning, policy implementation, and community engagement

This position is ideal for a professional manager who thrives in a high-trust, high-responsibility environment and values both strategic leadership and hands-on execution.

Compensation will be based on experience and qualifications:

Salary hiring range: $120,000 – $155,000

A competitive benefits package is included.

Anticipated start date: April 6, 2026
