Affinity is partnering with a rapidly growing locally-owned Construction company looking to bring on a Controller with direct industry experience. The right candidate will bring specific experience in WIP Reporting and Job Costing.

This person will be responsible for maintaining accurate and reliable financial reporting, overseeing internal control frameworks, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Acting as a key advisor to leadership, this role delivers financial insight that informs operational performance and long-term business strategy.

• Lead and oversee the accounting operations for the construction business and its affiliated entities
• Ensure timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP.
• Maintain comprehensive job cost accounting and detailed WIP schedules to accurately track project performance.
• Consolidate financial results across all entities, providing ownership with a complete and transparent view of company finances.
• Manage cash flow, working capital, and financial forecasting to support operational needs and business growth.
• Coordinate with external accounting firms to facilitate year-end tax filings and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Supervise payroll processes, including tracking, reconciling, and reporting deductions related to taxes and employee benefits.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or 5-7 years of related experience
• Construction industry experience required
• GAAP knowledge, CPA preferred
• Strong written, verbal and collaboration skills
