Cage Cashier - Part Time

Located just east of downtown Kansas City, Ameristar Casino Hotel Kansas City is a Midwestern entertainment hub that offers something for everyone. Ameristar Casino boasts one of the largest casino floors in Missouri, excellent dining venues, and a newly renovated luxury hotel. The property also provides convenient parking in a five-level, 2,660-space parking structure with an enclosed, climate-controlled walkway to the casino and entertainment center.

Ameristar is seeking a Cage Cashier to join our team. The successful candidate will provide excellent guest service, safeguard company funds by maintaining an accurate cash count at all times. This is a highly visible role, and the ability to deliver excellent service to our guests and team members is essential.

• High attention to detail.
• Strong organization and communication skills.
• Ability to work quickly and efficiently.
• Provide sales and redemption of chips for internal and external guests (e.g., main bank, fill bank, jackpot/fill window).
• Redeem gaming instruments, cash checks, and provide accurate information to guests.
• Ensure the security of company funds.
• Maintain and ensure proper routing of department paperwork.
• Balance the window impress total, sell checks and gaming instruments to the main banker.
• This is a uniformed position, requiring team members to adhere to appearance standards while on duty.

Required Knowledge and Skills

• Ability to communicate, understand, and write in English.
• Ability to work with interruptions.
• Excellent math skills are required.
• Must have ten-key (calculator) skills.
• Good communication and guest service skills.
• Data entry and computer skills are required.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced 24/7 casino environment.

Required Education and Work Experience

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Some college classes or degree preferred.
• Previous casino cage or cash handling experience preferred.
