Electrical CAD Technician

We are currently seeking an Electrical CAD Technician to join a client team.

• Support technical teams of designers, detailers, and engineers by producing accurate and detailed CAD drawings.
• Prepare new drawings and revise existing engineering drawings based on sketches, layouts, and specifications.
• Assist with preparing and updating plot drawings and design documentation.
• Adhere to established drafting standards, procedures, and best practices.
• Apply discipline‑specific drafting practices consistently across projects.
• Utilize standard drafting and design software to complete assigned tasks.
• Participate in continuous improvement efforts related to drafting quality and efficiency.
• Research design challenges and recommend potential solutions.
• Assist with ad‑hoc projects and tasks as assigned by management.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or GED with coursework in drafting technology and a specialized CAD certification.
• One or more years of relevant drafting or CAD experience.
• Proficiency with CAD and drafting tools.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills.
• Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Self‑motivated with a strong desire to learn and grow in a technical environment.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team‑oriented setting.
• Authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship requirements.

• Experience supporting electrical or technical design projects.
• Demonstrated leadership or initiative within a technical or drafting environment.
• Familiarity with multiple CAD platforms or drafting standards.
