Summary
The Facilities Technician III plans and processes hourly craft to perform work requested on Maintenance Repair Orders, Preventive Maintenance, maintenance work orders, and equipment engineering work orders.
Duties and Responsibilities- Reviews Maintenance Repair Orders to determine if the scope of work required falls under the definition of maintenance and repair, preventive or predictive maintenance, or new construction/modification.
- Separates orders for new construction/modification and forwards them to the appropriate department.
- Schedules equipment engineering work orders for machine capability studies and machine tool overhauls, or modifications resulting from studies.
- Plans and schedules work orders for maintenance work request, preventive maintenance work orders, and equipment engineering work orders for maintenance work centers.
- Scopes jobs to determine levels of priority, potential hazards, and materials needed; applies time standards.
- Provides safety plans, hour estimates, and identifies hazards and controls on all work orders.
- Orders needed parts from Stores and outside vendors when necessary.
- Schedules hourly crafts to perform work requested on Maintenance Repair Orders, Preventive Maintenance, maintenance work orders, and equipment engineering work orders based on time standards.
- Service contract administration including supporting scope development, supports proposal of contract documentation and provides oversight of service contractors.
- Performs data entry and completes required reports, including Maintenance Repair Orders and work order computer entries and close-outs, error reports, daily work reports, and Maintenance Repair Orders status reports.
- Coordinates and communicates with HS&E on safety related questions and/or proper safety procedures.
- Two (2) years of relevant experience
- High School Diploma
- Ability to work remote, hybrid, or on-site as directed by management and is determined by the needs of the business
- Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this job
- United States Citizenship
- Ability to obtain and maintain, if required for position, a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) security clearance (some positions require additional DOE designations)
- Knowledge and skill as attained in an apprenticeship program or comparable on the job training.
- Experience in using a Work Order data base system like MAXIMO.
- Ability work independently and as a team with a safety mindset.
- Capable of working extended hours as required.
- Experience in planning and performing preventative maintenance and maintenance of facilities and/or equipment.
- Experience in order and purchasing materials.
- General knowledge of Microsoft office suites.
- Experience reading drawings, layouts, and schematics.
