Overview
Kimley-Horn, one of Fortune Magazine’s “100 Best Companies to Work For,” is looking for a Project Manager to join our Kansas City, Missouri office. As a critical member of the Energy/Solar team, you will perform a variety of civil engineering tasks and will receive both on-the-job and formal training as well as mentorship, camaraderie, and exposure to plan production, project financials, and client interactions.
Responsibilities
Our Energy team works on projects including:
- Solar site Design
- Utility scale solar projects
- Project Due Diligence and Site Constraints
- Jurisdictional Permitting and Agency Coordination
- Client Management and more
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
- 7+ years of civil engineering experience working with a professional design firm
- PE certification or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Excel, and/or GIS
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
- Strong sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet client deadlines
- Detail-oriented team player with a positive work environment attitude
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
