Job Summary information is provided in the original description. This position coordinates on a large variety of new and existing construction projects based on information derived from MEP construction drawings.
Responsibilities- Draw and coordinate on a large variety of new and existing construction projects based on information derived from MEP construction drawings.
- Setup of Revit views and sheets in preparation for field installation.
- Annotate and dimension shop drawings for field installation.
- Utilize Bluebeam Revu software to markup PDF drawings and communicate with team members.
- Prepare copies and help make sets of documents for transmittal to other parties.
- Download drawings and information from the Web, SharePoint, or other project websites (BIM 360, etc.).
- Verify accuracy of work before sending on to next steps.
- Typically drawing/coordination work includes 3D modeling of all electrical systems and developing design drawings.
- Read, analyze, understand, and interpret design and construction documents.
- Utilize BIM to increase the team’s understanding of problems and solutions and assist the construction and field team in solving issues throughout the project.
- BIM coordination and preparation of field and pre-fab drawings, reports, and schedules.
- Maintain project files.
- Develop increased proficiency in system operation with a resulting increase in productivity and learn how to use all software options.
- Perform other tasks and special projects as assigned.
- Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED is required.
- Bachelor's degree in design and drafting, or related field is required.
- Preferred Qualifications
- Job site/field experience is preferred.
- Previous experience in the electrical industry is preferred.
- Previous experience with Revit is preferred.
- Previous experience with Google Workspace Applications is preferred.
- General working knowledge of common computer software applications, including Microsoft Office Suite applications.
- Working knowledge of Autodesk Revit; ability to create Revit worksheets, manipulate Revit families, and perform related functions.
- Fluency in reading 2D plans and coordinating in 3D with other trades.
- Attention to detail and ability to execute on multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and/or projects simultaneously, changing priorities as necessary.
- Team player with the ability to share information to increase department expertise.
- Professional interaction with all levels of employees, vendors, clients, and others.
