The Platform Engineer designs, develops, and deploys complex infrastructure operating platforms and network solutions while providing technical expertise to both internal teams and clients. This role partners closely with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, scalable, and automated enterprise solutions aligned with organizational values of integrity, safety, and service excellence. The Platform Engineer plays a critical role in cloud infrastructure, automation, security, and reliability, supporting modern software and infrastructure environments.
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, and deploy complex infrastructure and network solutions
- Build and deploy automation scripts to optimize infrastructure management
- Partner with cross-functional teams to implement enterprise and software solutions
- Monitor infrastructure systems for security, compliance, and availability
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, including system outages
- Develop, test, and deploy new software and infrastructure components
- Respond to security incidents and provide remediation guidance
- Participate in the development and enforcement of security systems and policies
- Analyze security alerts, vulnerabilities, and threats to prevent incidents
- Perform additional duties as assigned while complying with all policies and standards
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Technology, Business, or a related field and 4+ years of experience in infrastructure/network systems, system engineering, or related roles OR equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience building cloud infrastructure in Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or Pulumi
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Bash, Python, Power Shell, Go, or similar)
- Experience using Git and modern code review/release workflows
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP networking, DNS, and certificate management
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment tools
- Experience deploying and supporting containerized workloads
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills
- Experience with security systems, vulnerability management, and remediation
- Enterprise-scale cloud or platform engineering experience
- Strong collaboration and facilitation skills across technical teams
