Systems Reliability Engineer – Civil, Electrical & Mechanical Engineering

St. Charles, MO. Position type:
Contract (12‑month). Candidate will work onsite with a full‑time commitment.

• Analyze customer requirements and develop a reliability engineering program to achieve reliability objectives.
• Allocate top‑level reliability quantitative requirements to design teams and perform reliability predictions to track performance.
• Analyze projected product utilization and calculate cumulative effect on final system reliability.
• Perform failure mode and effect analysis, formulate mathematical models, and identify items posing excessive failure and safety risks.
• Develop computer models to analyze, predict and adjust design to maintain and improve system reliability.
• Administer a Failure Reporting and Corrective Action System (FRACAS) database.
• Participate in recurring Failure Review Board (FRB) meetings with internal and external stakeholders, including government customers.
• Provide guidance and recommendations to designers and management to ensure reliability objectives are met.
• Interface with the customer and management at major design review meetings to provide reliability findings and recommendations.
• Determine test profiles for units requiring environmental testing and specify test objectives and success criteria.
• Provide inputs to proposals for submittals to customers and review subcontractor proposals for reliability programs.
• Review engineering specifications and drawings, proposing design modifications to improve reliability within cost and other performance requirements.
• Support proposal activities that will impact the reliability and maintainability scope of work.
• Provide technical support to various weapons programs including SDB, JDAM and missile programs.

• Experience with reliability, maintainability, and system health (RM&SH) engineering principles.
• Experience with failure reporting, analysis, and corrective action systems.
• Experience performing failure analysis.
• Ability to collaborate with cross‑functional teams at multiple organizational levels in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment.
• Experience with Microsoft Office tools.

• Experience using the Systems Engineering V to implement a system onto a product.
• Systems Engineering requirements and verification experience.
• Able to lead by influence outside formal reporting relationships.
• 2+ years of reliability, maintainability, and system health experience.
• 2+ years of working experience in failure mode effect analysis, reliability & maintainability predictions, and/or reliability testing activities.
• Master’s degree in engineering, statistics, mathematics, systems engineering or related disciplines.

Pay Range: $70–$75 per hour (hourly).
