About the JobThe Tepa Companies are seeking a Lead Information Technology Engineer to provide technical leadership across the engineering team, resolving the most complex and escalated service issues, mentoring and guiding engineers to resolution, and designing, engineering, and implementing enterprise-level solutions. This role oversees the stability, security, and scalability of the company’s technology environment and serves as a primary technical authority within the IT department.
JobFunctions
- Technical leadership, services, and support for network, Microsoft technologies, virtualization, remote access, monitoring.
- Final escalation point for complex technical issues.
- Lead infrastructure, architecture and design initiatives.
- Perform and oversee network assessments, security audits, and client consultations.
- Administer remote monitoring and management system: updates agent scripts, responds to critical alerts, monitors dashboards, conducts periodic system reviews.
- Partner with business stakeholders to design and engineer solutions; evaluate, research, recommend new technologies, products, and services.
- Lead and oversee implementation of project solutions for business and/or clients.
- Establish and maintain technical standards, documentation, and best practices.
- Deeply knowledgeable in business-critical applications to ensure ongoing support and optimization.
- Ensure maintenance activities properly performed and documented for all systems and network solutions.
- Mentor, coach, and provide technical guidance to engineers and other team members.
- Maintain a strong customer-focused approach for internal and external clients.
- Operate with a strong sense of ownership and urgency.
- Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills.

- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, Math, or Physical Science
- Minimum 10+ years’ experience in systems engineering or a related technical role
- Demonstrated experience leading complex system engineering, analytical, and problem-solving initiatives
- Proven experience authoring and maintaining technical and architectural documentation
- Experience leading technical discussions and participating in meetings with internal stakeholders
- Experience with Service Desk ticketing systems and escalation management
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and microservices architecture
- Strong knowledge of software engineering principles, design patterns, and data structures
- Proficiency with version control tools (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines
- Familiarity with database technologies (SQL, No
SQL) and optimization techniques - Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Excellent communication skills to effectively work with technical and non-technical stakeholders
