Senior Electrical Designer

We are seeking a Senior Electrical Designer to join a leading U.S. based energy solutions and engineering firm supporting major infrastructure and power generation projects globally. As the group continues to scale its internal engineering capabilities, this position plays a key role in guiding design standards, overseeing project deliverables, and mentoring junior designers.

This senior-level role is ideal for someone with strong technical design skills, deep familiarity with electrical raceway and equipment modeling, and experience supporting EPC or large industrial projects. You will take ownership of electrical design scopes, interface directly with clients, contribute to project planning, and ensure high-quality deliverables for construction.

• Lead electrical design efforts on assigned projects, including client-facing coordination and oversight of scope, schedule, and deliverables
• Design electrical raceway systems including duct bank, tray, and above ground conduit or model 3D equipment items for power plant systems
• Route cables and ensure compliance with electrical codes, fill requirements, and engineering standards
• Develop drawings, calculations, and design layouts used for construction and field execution
• Perform quality checks on 3D models to identify interferences and improve constructability
• Support EPC teams with RFIs, design reviews, change orders, equipment buyout support, and deliverable coordination
• Provide mentorship, technical guidance, and day-to-day support to designers
• Stay current with industry codes, electrical design practices, and emerging design tools

• Associate degree in drafting/design technology or equivalent technical experience
• 8+ years of relevant electrical design experience
• Proficiency in both 2D and 3D design applications (AutoCAD, Smart Plant 3D, Plant 3D, E3D, Micro Station, etc.)
• Advanced understanding of raceway design, electrical modeling, and applicable electrical codes
• Strong working knowledge of standards such as ANSI, IEEE, API, NEC

• Ability to lead design scopes independently and support project teams in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work cross-functionally
