Olsson offers its clients a full spectrum of water and wastewater services, including a complete line of planning, design, permitting, and construction phase services. As a Senior Engineer on the Water/Wastewater team, you’ll provide high-level technical support and lead quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) activities that drive excellence in water and wastewater engineering. In this role, you’ll apply your expertise to make recommendations and decisions regarding project design work. You will work closely with other team members and engineers on wastewater collection and treatment projects, along with water supply, storage, treatment, and distribution.

Typical projects include sanitary sewer piping, wastewater pump stations, wastewater treatment facilities, water piping, water supply wells, water storage tanks, and water treatment facilities. Travel may be needed to job sites for observation in all types of terrain and weather conditions, as well as project sites in various stages of construction. Opportunities to mentor younger or less experienced staff may be available along with client relations.

Responsibilities
  • Provide high-level technical support and lead QA/QC activities for water and wastewater engineering projects.
  • Collaborate with team members on wastewater collection and treatment projects, and on water supply, storage, treatment, and distribution.
  • Contribute to project design decisions and recommendations based on expertise.
  • Engage in site observations and project development across various terrains and weather conditions.
  • Mentor younger or less experienced staff and support client relations where appropriate.
Qualifications
  • Passion for collaboration and ownership in the work you do.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to contribute as part of a team.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • At least 10 years of related water/wastewater experience.
  • Registered Professional Engineer.
  • Experience with AutoCAD or other related software.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality work.
