Estimator – Heavy Civil (Structures/Bridges)

Location: Kansas City Metro, Missouri (Onsite, Full-Time)

A well-established, family-owned leader in the heavy civil construction industry is seeking an experienced Estimator with civil structures and/or highway projects
.

Required Qualifications

• Solid experience with structures or highway civil construction estimating
• Proficiency with bidding software (e.g., Heavy Bid, Bid2
  
  Win, Agtek)
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills
• Comfortable working independently and in team environments
• Degree preferred but not required with equivalent experience

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate cost estimates and quantity takeoffs for bridge, structural, and/or heavy highway projects
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and schedulers throughout the bidding process
• Interpret plans, specifications, and DOT requirements (MoDOT, KDOT)
• Analyze historical data and conduct market research to ensure accurate projections
• Simultaneously manage multiple bids under tight deadlines
• Utilize multiple systems and screens to work with design files, spreadsheets, and estimating tools
• Mostly will be in office; rarely will travel onsite

Compensation:

• $100,000–$130,000 (3-9 years exp)
• $130,000 to $180,000 (10+ years exp)
• Annual performance bonuses
• Vehicle allowance and fuel card
• Dental and Vision coverage
