Electrical Engineer II – Kansas City National Security Campus
Summary: The Electrical Engineer II role is an experienced level position performing routine to moderately complex engineering functions on assigned projects or sub‑projects of a general nature by applying standard mathematical, physical science, and/or engineering technologies. This role supports Honeywell FM&T in designing and manufacturing components for the National Nuclear Security Administration.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist in design and/or project/process management of new and current projects, products, programs, components, tools, and acceptance equipment under technical guidance.
- Prepare product or project definitions, manufacturing drawings and specifications, operating procedures, and test equipment designs.
- Design product and acceptance equipment, develop measurement methods, and acquire tooling, cables, and laboratory equipment to support product acceptance.
- Develop test procedures and perform routine to moderately complex engineering evaluation tests, product and process capability studies, quality audits, product or project data reviews, and other engineering evaluation work to assure product manufacturability.
- Conduct audits, analyze processes, products, and inspection records to anticipate, identify, and correct problems and to establish quality levels and trends.
- Partner with internal and external stakeholders to resolve moderately complex development, production, and acceptance issues.
- Prepare evaluation reports, analyze discrepancies, and recommend improvements for product.

- Established technical methodologies for routine engineering projects.
- Ability to analyze engineering drawings and specifications to develop effective acceptance processes and improve existing processes. Familiarity with GD&T concepts.
