Engineering Project Manager

Overview

The Project Engineering Manager is responsible for delivering project management services that meet or exceed client expectations throughout the entire project lifecycle, serving as the primary point of contact. The PEM communicates clearly and promptly through both written and verbal channels and ensures timely responses to client needs. They apply strong risk management practices to support project and regional/business profitability targets and confirm that all milestones and deliverables are achieved as scheduled.

• Bachelor’s degree in civil or architectural engineering with a focus on structural design
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE)
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in the design and/or oversight of structural steel building projects across several of these areas:
• Truss based building systems and long span structures
• Heavy industrial facilities with overhead cranes, including detailed crane runway design for large capacity and long span cranes
• Architecturally complex commercial buildings
• Familiarity with IBC, AISC, AISE 13, and MBMA standards and specifications
• Experience with some or all these software tools: STAAD, RISA, RAM, SAP
  2000, Revit, Tekla, AutoCAD, and proprietary company programs
• Structural connection design expertise
• Ability to create efficient, practical structural framing and connection concepts that are economical to detail, fabricate, and erect
