As a Senior Plant Engineer at Ervin Cable Construction, LLC, you will lead cross‑functional teams to design and implement advanced systems and processes, ensuring compliance with safety standards and project specifications. You will engage with stakeholders and mentor junior engineers to deliver high‑quality results that exceed customer expectations.

- Coordinate with remote drafting and GIS personnel to produce construction drawings for the network.
- Plan, design, and obtain permits for new cable routes.
- Work as part of a multi‑faceted team of engineering, construction, project management, and scheduling personnel to deliver results to the customer.
- Engage regularly with the customer’s engineering team and project management for updates and feedback.
- Provide frequent project progress updates and risk assessments to the management team.
- Design aerial and underground fiber optic routes.
- Other duties as assigned.
- 18 years of age or older.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field, plus at least three years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination.
- Proficiency with Excel and Word.
- Telecommunications industry standards.
- Regulations for OSP facilities.
- Aerial and underground construction methods and engineering requirements.
- Government permit requirements.
- OSP facilities, construction techniques and conduit records.
- Easement, right of way, and permit documents.
- AutoCAD/Micro Station or Geographic Information Systems.
- Fiber optic counts, fiber assignments, and splicing schematics.
- Routinely: operate vehicle, walk, use keyboard and mouse.
- Occasionally: climb stairs and stand.
