Civil Aviation BIM Specialist 3 – HDR Responsibilities
- Functions in a drawing production engineering technician capacity
- Under minimum supervision, performs basic functions requiring technical knowledge utilizing electronic applications, processes, standards and document control processes/procedures for the purpose of creating or modifying deliverables
- Evaluates methods used to accomplish the drafting and/or design activities
- Responsible for drafting/designing HDR Aviation projects in Civil 3D and other Autodesk products
- Develop or modify deliverables based on rough sketches, marked‑up copies, and/or detailed verbal instructions
- Develop deliverables with necessary views, sections, and details using Company and/or Client standards and procedures with supervision
- Learn and understand project and Company standards and procedures
- Perform minor computations such as material quantity estimate, dimensional checks, etc, as assigned
- Learn new programs or processes required for assignments
- Continuously evaluate methods used to accomplish assigned activities
- Ensure deliverables comply with Company and/or Client Standards, sketches, marked copies, and written or verbal instructions

- Intermediate knowledge of Computer Automated Drafting Design (CADD) or other applications or design or modeling skills
- Basic knowledge of engineering standards, systems, document control, and departmental guides

- Experience/knowledge in one or more of the following:
- Civil 3D and Autodesk Construction Cloud experience
- Experience with drafting/design in multiple software programs (school, internship, and/or work)
- Basic ability to interpret engineering deliverable content as assigned
- Technical degree or a combination of education and related industry experience
- A minimum of 5 years related industry experience
- Advanced skillset of 3D design software and document management infrastructure
- Advanced skillset of 3D Coordination tool
- Competency of Microsoft Office products and communication tools
- Advanced understanding of engineering or architectural concepts
- Knowledge of industry standards and practices, along with discipline codes and specifications
- Excellent communication skills, attention to detail and organizational traits are essential
