Civil Aviation BIM Specialist 3 – HDR Responsibilities

• Functions in a drawing production engineering technician capacity
• Under minimum supervision, performs basic functions requiring technical knowledge utilizing electronic applications, processes, standards and document control processes/procedures for the purpose of creating or modifying deliverables
• Evaluates methods used to accomplish the drafting and/or design activities
• Responsible for drafting/designing HDR Aviation projects in Civil 3D and other Autodesk products
• Develop or modify deliverables based on rough sketches, marked‑up copies, and/or detailed verbal instructions
• Develop deliverables with necessary views, sections, and details using Company and/or Client standards and procedures with supervision
• Learn and understand project and Company standards and procedures
• Perform minor computations such as material quantity estimate, dimensional checks, etc, as assigned
• Learn new programs or processes required for assignments
• Continuously evaluate methods used to accomplish assigned activities
• Ensure deliverables comply with Company and/or Client Standards, sketches, marked copies, and written or verbal instructions

• Intermediate knowledge of Computer Automated Drafting Design (CADD) or other applications or design or modeling skills
• Basic knowledge of engineering standards, systems, document control, and departmental guides
• An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee‑owned culture is a must
• Experience/knowledge in one or more of the following:
  • Civil 3D and Autodesk Construction Cloud experience
  • Experience with drafting/design in multiple software programs (school, internship, and/or work)
  • Basic ability to interpret engineering deliverable content as assigned

• Technical degree or a combination of education and related industry experience
• A minimum of 5 years related industry experience
• Advanced skillset of 3D design software and document management infrastructure
• Advanced skillset of 3D Coordination tool
• Competency of Microsoft Office products and communication tools
• Advanced understanding of engineering or architectural concepts
• Knowledge of industry standards and practices, along with discipline codes and specifications
• Excellent communication skills, attention to detail and organizational traits are essential
