Senior Structural Engineer (Data Centers) – Jacobs

We are seeking an experienced Senior Structural Engineer to join our Advanced Manufacturing team in the United States. This role is responsible for design, analysis, and construction support for data center projects including new builds, retrofits, and colocations.

$ – $ per year (actual pay based on skills and experience).

• Perform structural analysis and design for data center projects, including member and foundation design.
• Use design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Micro Station, and S3D to create computer models.
• Conduct calculations for member design, foundation design, material take‑offs for estimating, and miscellaneous calculations.
• Assist with schedules and coordinate designs with internal engineers and external design departments.
• Collaborate with Jacobs offices domestically and internationally to ensure project delivery.
• Contribute to team leadership and professional growth opportunities.

• Bachelor of Science in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Minimum of 8 years of professional experience in structural engineering.
• Registered Professional Engineer (PE) with ability to become registered in additional states.
• Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, Micro Station, S3D) and structural analysis software (RISA, STAAD).
• Knowledge and application of ACI, AISC, ASCE 7, AIST Technical Report 13, and other relevant design codes and standards.
• Knowledge and application of building codes.
• Proficiency with MS Office suite including MS Teams.
• Ability to travel to client sites (approx. 10%–20% travel).

• Master of Science in Engineering.
• Experience with industrial metal projects such as casting and rolling operations.
• Proven ability to lead teams and deliver commitments on schedule and on budget while meeting quality and client expectations.
