This job opportunity is available at ANY location in the United States. Ideally, selected candidates will be near a JACOBS U.S. based office, but we intend to hire the "best" candidates.

• Play a role in the entire design process, including preliminary assessments, concept creation, internal and external problem resolution, drawing and specification production, customer and vendor accessibility.
• Provide technical design leadership of systems for data center buildings which include structured cabling systems, wireless, audio‑visual, and other low voltage systems.
• Lead BIM designers in preparation of engineering drawings.
• Create or modify DIV 27 specifications.
• Conduct site visits and review technical documents.
• Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Sign and seal telecommunications design packages.
• Mentor other team members.
• Work with the lead engineer and/or department manager to identify processes to make the department run more efficiently.
• Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.

• Electrical Engineering or Communication Engineering bachelor’s degree from an ABET accredited college.
• Minimum 8 years’ experience actively designing or leading designs for Telecommunications structured cabling systems.
• Thorough knowledge of ANSI/TIA and BICSI standards.
• Thorough knowledge of NFPA 70 and how it applies to telecommunications structured cabling systems.
• Proficiency with Bluebeam.
• Self‑motivation to coordinate with other disciplines, project managers and clients.
• Excellent project management skills.
• Familiarity with responding to RFPs.
• Experience in providing Quality Assurance and checking of telecommunications systems designed by others.
• Experience with startup and commissioning of telecommunications systems.
• Experienced in creating a budget for a project.
• Experienced in creating and maintaining a project schedule.
• Experienced in identifying and mitigating company risk.
• PE license is required; multiple PE licenses are desirable.

• 4 years Telecommunications design experience in Data Centers.
• Experience working on other low voltage systems, including security, audio/visual, wireless.
• Working knowledge of Revit and Navisworks design software platforms.
• Knowledge of telecom infrastructure for controls systems and security systems.
• Thorough knowledge of CSI or AIA specification writing procedures.
• Credential as an RCDD.
