Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled professional to join our team at Bayer KC Site 4 AI, where you will play a crucial role in supporting the process operations teams. This position focuses on addressing a backlog of action items, documentation updates, and improvement projects that have arisen due to increased activity levels over the past two years. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement mid to long-term improvements related to process operations, reliability, and training, ensuring that our manufacturing lines operate efficiently and effectively.
Responsibilities- Collaborate with site technical and operational team members to resolve outstanding PHA, MOC, optimization, and other action items for chemical processes operating within Site 4 AI.
- Complete technical definition, validation, and reporting for environmental data required for permitting and annual reporting requirements.
- Review and enhance plant documentation to improve the readability, detail, and clarity of startup, shutdown, normal operations procedures, and P&IDs.
- Execute technical definition, documentation, and implementation of pressure safety design packages.
- Work with plant engineering resources to scope, document, and define implementation plans for process and reliability improvement projects.
- Support enhancements to plant training programs.
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or other engineering discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in process measurement and applications in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong knowledge of chemical processes for effective analysis and resolution of complex problems; familiarity with OSHA PSM/EPA RMP requirements is essential.
- Ability to lead small groups as well as work independently.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both technical and non-technical areas.
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or related field.
