JUNIOR Roadway Design Engineer

Are you a junior roadway design engineer looking to make an impact on infrastructure projects? A valued client we work closely with are seeking a talented and motivated Roadway Design Engineer to join the team. If you have a passion for designing innovative transportation solutions and enjoy mentoring others, this opportunity is for you!

This position is based in-office in Kansas City and offers flexible working hours.

• Design Excellence: Produce roadway and transportation designs for new construction and rehabilitation projects, ensuring they meet all client and regulatory standards.

  Collaboration:
  
  Attend client meetings, participate in proposals and presentations, and liaise with regulatory agencies to ensure project success.
• Mentorship: Manage, train, and mentor less experienced engineers, guiding them in the production of Plans, Specifications, and Estimates (PS&E).
• Business Development: Assist in local marketing efforts, such as proposal preparation, participating in professional chapter meetings, and attending municipal functions and meetings.

• Experience: 3+ years of experience in highway, interchange, and roadway design.
• Licensing: EIT license or PE license with BSc in Civil Engineering
• Technical
  
  Skills:
  
  Proficiency in Micro Station V8i software, Bentley InRoads, and AutoCAD Civil 3D. Experience in drainage design is preferred.
• Personal Qualities: Detail-oriented, a self-starter, and proficient in both verbal and written communication.
