Nursing Instructor

The instructor’s primary responsibilities are to provide active and effective learning to practical nursing students in clinical settings, act as professional and academic role model, and contribute to our excellent student satisfaction scores. This includes teaching in labs, at designated clinical sites in the area, and participating in campus and student activities. This position delivers high-quality instruction to students, combining theoretical knowledge with practical, hands-on experience, assesses student progress, and ensures adherence to industry standards and best practices.

• Organize and deliver class objectives in a clear, concise manner
• Foster and maintain an orderly, controlled, and safe environment for students in the laboratory and at clinical sites
• Maintain curriculum accuracy by keeping up to date on industry standards and practices
• Evaluate student performance through assignments and practical assessments
• Provide constructive feedback and support to students to help them achieve academic and professional success
• Foster relationships with students to help them meet program competency requirements
• Meet with students and education personnel to discuss instructional programs and related issues

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (BSN)
• Active and unencumbered Registered Nursing license for the state of MO or multistate license
• Over three (3+) years of clinical nursing experience
• Direct and specialized knowledge in the area of instruction
