Position: Middle School Head Girls Soccer Coach (Lincoln Middle)

PURPOSE OF JOB:
Provide instruction, leadership, and supervision to middle school students participating in the sports program.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist with practices by emphasizing teamwork, skill development, learning rules and strategies, and student-athlete improvement.
  • Assist with academic monitoring in collaboration with teachers, counselors, and other support staff.
  • Supervise student-athletes before, during, and after practices and contests, including in locker rooms, on buses, and at other times. Be present at all practices and games, arriving on time and remaining until all student-athletes have left.
  • Maintain responsibility for equipment and inventory management.
  • Complete all required paperwork such as rosters, physicals, insurance forms, and parent consent forms.
  • Provide information related to transportation, facilities, officials, and game management.
  • Conduct oneself and the team ethically during practices and contests, exemplifying sportsmanship.
  • Assist in coordinating the program.
  • Promote student-athletes' accomplishments academically and athletically.
  • Pursue professional growth through clinics and publications.
  • SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
    Student-athletes

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Must have a Teachers Certificate, valid Substitute Certificate, or a Temporary (provisional) Teacher’s Certificate.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Be a full or part-time employee in the District.
    • Employed as a teacher or administrator within the district applying for the position.
